Penistone is the closest town to Millbrook
and offers pubs, restaurants and and a cinema (Penistone
Paramount). Market days are Thursday and Saturday. The railway
station is on the Penistone Line which runs between Sheffield
Cannon Hall is ten minutes away, gardens, hall, children's
farm, garden centre and farm shop. Maize maze during the summer
Holmfirth, the film location for Last of the Summer Wine
is 8 miles north of Millbrook. Wander around the shops, get a
coffee in Sid's cafe and find Nora Batty's house.
Barnsley, famous for its superb market every Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday, is a bustling shopping centre only 8 miles
